So....I was in the process of doing a refinance but in the mix of it all I was laid off. This unfortunately brought the process to a screeching halt because you have to be employed (employment verification). Are you fucking kidding me? Okay cool....I let that sink in.
In perusing the T.V. I see talks of the stimulus package and a new bill was added to assist homeowners. Now here is the deal...I have ALWAYS paid my mortgage on time and have never been late. To be qualified for any of these freaking programs you have to be employed (yet again) AND be in foreclosure. Are you kidding me?? What about the people who were laid off because of the economy and are trying PRESERVE their credit and keep it intact so they never have to get to that point. It makes absolutely no sense that I have to be on the verge of losing my home and sheriffs coming to put me and my family out to be eligible for anything. Sigh...
